not my kind of party

It bothers me when people dump all of the problems they find with Christianity in my lap and expect me to quickly sort them out. It bothers me even more that I don't have the answers I feel I should. The fact of the matter is that I'm not really passionate about discussing Constantine's involvement in the forming of the Canon or the abrupt difference between Jesus and Paul's teachings styles. I know these things are important. As a person of faith it's crucial to take a hard look at the history. It's just that sometimes I get so annoyed by people who take that stuff more seriously than the actual message. I dunno...

  1. really Jesus and Paul teaching different things? i've never heard that one before. their styles are different but they both taught the same message.

  2. yeah well my friend was drunkenly talking about how he saw differences in paul and jesus' teaching styles. he doesnt like paul because he felt he was more of a tyrant instead of jesus who he saw as more of a "pascifist." i tried my best to explain why i think paul is so awesome but i get to a point aggravation most of the time...

  3. i can get that way. its frustrating cause people will not listen or let alone respect your point of view. at all. that happens to me a lot. even Christians do that to me about my points of view which aren't off from the message. i get ripped but i guess thats part of the price. but people seem way more hardheaded these days if you ask me.
